  • Syria: Obama renewed sanctions on Syria. The announcement came only one day after Jeoffrey Feltman, and Daniel Shapiro, concluded a visit to Damascus. A 'Feltman' and a 'Shapiro' decided what is in the best interrest of of their tribal members!
  • Egypt: the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) made a surprise announcement, claiming Egypt possessed "small amounts of highly enriched uranium" which could be used to make nuclear weapons [some people are after Egypt]
  • Egypt: Egyptian, Arab and international anti-war and anti- imperialist activists from across the globe were due to start the seventh Cairo anti-war conference but were denied venue in Egypt.
  • Pakistan: US policy in Pakistan under Obama is but more of the same of past crimes: terrorising foreign civilian populations for political ends, writes Ramzy Baroud. Great articles, he makes many excellent points.
